The ZR011 has two separate thermostats in one housing: This allows the independent control of heating and cooling equipment, or signaling equipment.
Thermostat - NC (normally closed): Opens on temperature rise (red temperature dial) - for regulating heaters or for switching signal devices when temperature has fallen below the minimum value.
Thermostat - NO (normally open): Closes on temperature rise (blue temperature dial) - for regulating filter fans, heat exchangers, or for switching signal devices when temperature limit has been exceeded.
