There is a missing filial from the lid and a few scratches if you look very closely, otherwise it is in excellent condition.

Measures approx 16cm tall and 16cm wide.

I don't know if it is onyx or alabaster.

I have found one other very similar item online, it is for sale at 1500 euros and is from the Russian collection. I would guess this is a reproduction of that but as both are not marked anywhere I can't be sure of age or origin.

It is beautifully translucent.
