This antique porcelain Famille Rose and or Canton patterned covered, two handled sugar bowl from the late 19th century is a beautiful and delicate piece originating from China. This multi-color sugar bowl showcases panels with palace scenes and people, roses and birds with raised accents. The colors are pale to dark green and orange, pink, black and brown on a white background, featuring intricate craftsmanship and detail typical of Chinese antiques from c.1865-85. This bowl measures approximately 5" tall including lid and 6" wide from handle to handle. Made from high-quality porcelain, this unmarked piece adds a touch of elegance and history to any collection or addition to the dining table.
In nice condition with no chips or cracks. There is fading of the gold on the lid knob and the bamboo shaped handles. The base is unmarked.
