The original McIntosh MC275, released in the United States in 1980, was a legendary Solid State Stereo Power Amplifier which gained its superb reputation following the years after its release. Although it was discontinued when transistors became popular. The McIntosh brand is world-famous in the world of audiophile amplifiers, and this model is no exception. It has some great features, like balanced gold-plated inputs, or the ability to switch between stereo or mono output. The Limit lamp is also designed to illuminate when the amplifier is overloaded, remaining lit for a visible period even during very short overload conditions. In this case, the meter displays 200W or less. It’s a solid performer that should last many more years. Your MC 2125 Stereo Power Amplifier will give you satisfactory performance.
This unit is in very good condition, and shows some natural signs of aging and use (please see photos), including overall wear and some rust. The wooden cabinet and its contents cannot be locked. The adhesive securing the meter frame appears to be coming loose. It has been thoroughly tested and checked by our professional in-house technician, confirming its flawless working quality.
