Constantine the Great was Emperor at a pivotal point in history. As had been the case for almost 100 years, the empire was in turmoil due to civil wars between would be emperors. Constantine emerged victorious, believed his victory to be due to the Christian god, and ended the persecution of Christianity and made it the official religion of the empire.

He had several sons who became emperors as well, and we have three of them included in this lot of four Roman bronze coins.
