Half leather and marble paper binding, the leather , not recently has been professionally replaced and still incorporates the raised bands from the original binding. Label present with gilt lettering, board marble paper is 18th century, several different shelf positions to the front pastedown front internal hinge open.
1pp end paper + title page (grubby) with name in manuscript of " Sociatus? Midwifery?" (Society of Midwifes possibly) + xi + 1pp contents + 186pp including supplement. Some pages with some foxing and a used copy of this book. , majority of pages clean and in good order. Only one marginal note contemporary , "on bathing for fevers" note reads "in cold water?"
