This is an antique lily pad patterned bulb bowl from the Weller Orris line, which was originally introduced around 1915.

This line was manufactured in Zanesville, Ohio, United States for a relatively short period, from its introduction in 1915 until approximately 1920.

Because this bulb bowl was only manufactured within this tight 5-year window, it stands as a true artifact of Weller's prime "Middle Period" of production.

The highly defined, embossed pattern around the rim depicts wrapping lily pads and buds.

While the Orris line is famous for its matte forest greens and rustic browns, Weller produced variants in this semi-glossy, monochromatic mauve/pink glaze color.

Pieces from the Orris line are frequently unmarked. They were produced during an era where Weller leaned heavily on paper or foil labels that, just as with this beautiful example, were washed away decades ago.

Beautiful antique condition. A small pit/hole was noted to the interior of this bowl. This appears to be due to a bubble that was within the clay itself rupturing due to a manufacturing flaw. This does not detract from the display value of this piece. However, based on this manufacturing related damage, the asking price has been decreased. No other chips, cracks, damage or repairs noted. Condition is appropriate to the age of the item.

The bottom features three small, original stilt marks from the firing process. These are entirely normal factory-production artifacts from when the piece sat in the kiln, not post-manufacturing chips or damage.
