A hallmarked silver swimming cup awarded in 1925 to four time Olympic gold medallist Paulo Radmilovic. He competed at five Olympic games representing Great Britain, winning gold as part of the water polo team in 1908, 1912 & 1920, and also winning gold in the men's 4 x 200 m freestyle in 1908. Born in Wales, this cup was won by Paulo (known as 'Raddy') in 1925 at an event run by the Welsh Amateur Swimming Association. The cup is hallmarked to both the body and lid for Charles Boyton & Son of London, the cup dating to 1925 & the lid to 1924. It is in displayable antique condition with a possible small solder repair to the left handle.  We originally purchased the cup from a dealer in Newcastle who had come by it with a number of other unrelated items. A little piece of Olympic sporting history. We are unable to accept offers and always run our auctions to the end. Please take a brief look at our other current antiques auctions and the very best of luck.
