This is an large original Scandinavian mid-century oil painting on panel, signed B. Krustock. A large and highly distinctive statement piece with a bold graphic composition and unmistakable MCM character.

A wonderfully unusual painting built around a strange, elongated creature that seems to move somewhere between bird, fish and skeletal form. Repeating blue shapes create a strong rhythm across the composition, held together by heavy black lines and contrasted against earthy brown, terracotta, white and muted pink.

Oil paint with areas of spray paint on panel. The painted surface has a glossy finish, and reflections from surrounding light are therefore visible in some of the photographs.
