This is a Julius Bluthner of Leipzig Upright acoustic piano built between 1897 and 1898 and it is in a very attractive rosewood cabinet, which stands in its own right as a beautiful piece of antique furniture. Within the interior of the cabinet can be seen the makers name and model number (48780), as well as the manufacturers marks on the metal frame, along with a plaque illustrating the countless awards won by this prestigious manufacturer of pianos in Germany in the mid to latter part of the 19th century.
It was played by my Father over many years and regularly maintained and tuned, the piano has stood in our family home since it was purchased in the mid 80's. This lovely instrument has a great tone and is in smashing original condition. The instrument is located in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk and I would suggest that it needs a professional removal company to collect and deliver it.
