Short description of the watch
I bring to your attention rare vintage USSR Russian collectable, an amazing men's wrist watch Chronometer VOLNA Precision Class A, brand Vostok. The creation of this outstanding chronometer was "borrowed" from legendary ZENITH Chronometer Cal.135 in 1950. You can notice some striking similarities, such as: big screw balance, micro regulator, plate layout, large and powerful mainspring, oversize jeweled stones, etc. All production Vostok precision watches were under the strict control, only a small part of movements could be called a precise watch. Others (which hadn't passed thru the special tests) are known as cheaper Almaz watches. The movement is similar to a Zenith with a large balance wheel and regulator. This watch was made in the Christophol Watch Factory (ChChZ). It is undoubtedly the best Russian wristwatch ever made. But due high cost of production the watch was produced for only around 5 years, and then has been discontinued. All production was under the strict control, only a small part of movements could be called a precise watch. I've read enough about watch tests in USSR - very common with COSC certification. There were some differences - 10 days of testing instead of 15, other temperatures of testing: 00С, +200С and +400С. For many years the factory was official supplier of the Ministry of Defense and produced watches exclusively for the Soviet military. The watch has a beautiful original stainless
steel case and back stainless steel cover. The case is dust-proof. This watch has original Higher-Quality movement with rare Caliber 2809A and micrometer
exact running. Balance of the watch has shock-proof device. On a back side, the movement signed brand stamp B (BOCTOK), 22 jewels and serial number 99176. The watch dome glass is made of plastic (Plexiglass). TThe watch has been restored, checked, and calibrated by a master
watchmaker and is in good running condition. This unique wristwatch has been
kept in excellent condition to this day. A new watchband is included as
a gift. This watch is a stylish acquisition for collectors, with 100%
