This is a very rare handmade fountain pen by Eiichi Uehara, the second-generation craftsman of Ohashido, a traditional luxury handmade fountain pen maker from Sendai, Japan.
Eiichi Uehara was a legendary craftsman who received the “Contemporary Master Craftsman” award in 1995.
Each Ohashido fountain pen is carefully turned from ebonite using a traditional foot-powered lathe, then finished with beautiful urushi lacquer.
The pen offers the warmth of handmade craftsmanship and the comfortable, soft feel of ebonite in the hand.
