Unusual antique/vintage shoe horn and button-hook style dressing accessory featuring an elaborately decorated handle with raised beadwork and ornate scroll/floral detailing.

The handle has two separate markings:

* An intertwined “RL” monogram/inscription on one side.

* A second worn marking on the opposite side that appears to read “860S”. The marking is difficult to read due to age and wear, so please examine the close-up photographs and make your own determination.

Important: I have NOT had the metal professionally tested, so I am not representing this piece as sterling silver or 860 silver. The possible “860S” marking is included for collectors to examine.

The different portions of the piece respond differently to a magnet: the lower shoe-horn portion has a strong magnetic response, the middle decorative area has a weak response, and the small hook does not appear magnetic.

The piece has an attractive aged appearance with patina, tarnishing, surface wear and other signs of age/use. There is visible wear/damage around portions of the decorative handle; please examine all photographs carefully.

The piece has not been polished, chemically tested, or restored. I am selling it exactly as found.

Approximate length: 9.5”

Please see all photographs, including the close-ups of both markings, as they are an important part of the description.

Sold as found/as-is.

A particularly interesting piece for collectors of antique dressing accessories, shoe horns, button hooks, monogrammed objects, or antique silver/metalwork.
