Description:
Germany, German Empire under Kaiser Wilhelm I, 30 Groschen large-numeral high-value stamp in blue, issued in the early 1870s. The design shows the large central “30” with repeated denomination background text and “Deutsche Reichs-Post” inscription at top. This is a used example with a heavy manuscript or pen cancellation crossing much of the face, including the central numeral, and some additional ink impact. The stamp is perforated, with centring slightly high and left, and the reverse shows a substantial hinge remnant or paper adhesion with some staining or ink offset. A desirable early Empire high value, though condition and cancellation quality significantly affect desirability.
