Authentic vintage French mechanical pencil manufactured by JIF, dating approximately from the 1920s–1930s.
This elegant writing instrument features a finely fluted metal body, streamlined Art Deco styling and an integrated pocket clip marked “JIF.” The upper section is also stamped “MADE IN FRANCE.”
The pencil appears to be made from silver-plated base metal, most likely brass. Much of the original plating has worn away over time, revealing the warm brass-coloured metal underneath and creating an attractive, naturally aged patina.
