Original 6-page Motor magazine road test of the new Ford Escort Twin Cam, the performance version of the Mk. 1 Escort developed for track, competition and rallying success. The Escort Twin Cam was sold from 1968 to 1971 with around 883 cars being produced during this period. It was superseded by the 16-valve Cosworth BDA powered Escort RS 1600, production of which began in 1970.
