Offered here is a large paper doll named Olive who served as an advertising counter sign for Minard's Liniment.  Developed in Nova Scotia by Dr. Levi Minard in the 1860's, the ointment became a popular home remedy for back pain and sore muscles.

The cardboard doll measures 20 1/2 inches tall and is shown holding a package of liniment.  She has one additional outfit including a hat that has a nautical theme.  The image was printed in 1914 at the American Lithograph Company of New York.
