Paragon "Tree of Kashmir" fine bone china tea service — a lovely, richly decorated set in one of Paragon's most collectable patterns. The set comprises 6 teacups, 6 saucers, 6 side plates and a milk jug (19 pieces). The pattern is a hand-finished chinoiserie design of peonies, prunus and trailing blossom rising from an ornate urn, in deep pinks, lilacs, greens and soft yellows, with a green and gold Greek-key style border and gilding to all rims, handles and footrims. Made by Paragon China of Stoke-on-Trent, carrying the "By Appointment to H.M. The Queen" royal warrant backstamp. Two backstamp variants are present across the set: the earlier full royal-arms "Paragon China Ltd, Stoke-on-Trent" mark, and the later circular "Paragon Fine Bone China England" mark — so the service was built up over a period rather than bought as a single boxed set. Everything matches in pattern and shape. Condition: immaculate. No chips, cracks or crazing, and the gilding is bright throughout. A proper afternoon-tea service, and increasingly hard to find complete. Every piece will be individually wrapped and packed in a double-walled box.
