1846 stampless cover with unclear red handstamp (probably Washington DC), free frank of L.H. Arnold to Newport RI. Lemuel Arnold (1792-1852) was a member of the House from RI 1845-1847; he also served as RI's governor 1831-1833. Docketing but no content; damage on back from a prior adhesion or mounting.
