Pink Floyd’s bitter 1977 reckoning with greed, power, and the divisions betwixt those who command, those who prey, and those who follow. Here are men made beasts: the Dogs who scheme and climb, the Pigs who rule and corrupt, and the Sheep who endure beneath them, all bound within a record as cold, watchful, and merciless as the world it beholdeth.

This US first pressing, wrought at Santa Maria under catalog JC 34474, retaineth its original inner sleeve. Both the jacket and vinyl bear visible age wear, the natural marks of nearly five decades passed rather than signs of harsh use. 

Yet for one who seeketh this bleak chapter of Pink Floyd in an early American pressing, here remaineth a seasoned relic of one of their most severe and singular works.

• Britannia Row Era — Animals was recorded at Pink Floyd’s own Britannia Row Studios in London, giving the band greater command over one of their bleakest works.
• Album Structure — Three lengthy compositions form the heart of the record, whilst the brief Pigs on the Wing passages open and close it like small bookends to a grim tale.
