Condition Report: Please review the photos carefully to evaluate the condition of this antiquarian volume.
Exterior: Bound in the original plum cloth with blind-stamped decorative borders. The cloth shows shelf wear, rubbing to the faces, and fraying/scuffing along the spine edges and corners. Gilt lettering on the spine remains entirely legible.
Binding: The text block remains firmly bound together. However, both the front and rear inner hinges are split/cracked; the boards are currently loose but remain fully attached to the text block.
Interior: The pages are remarkably clean, bright, and crisp for their age. There is very minimal foxing or toning. No major tearing or loose interior pages noted. No writing or previous owner bookplates present.A wonderful, entirely unrestored reading or shelf copy of an essential piece of 19th-century religious history.
