Description
Travel in style with Nolan's premium modular flip-up touring helmet. The X-1005 Ultra Carbon provides unrivalled protection with its high carbon content and advanced technological solutions through the efforts of Nolan's in-house R&D department.The dual-action chin guard's opening system combines safety and easy of use, the elliptical rotation minimises the "sail effect" and the compatibility with N-Com communication systems allows sharing the riding experience.
LPC - Liner Positioning
This system allows the position of the cap to be adjusted, which in turn allows the helmet to be adjusted for different head shapes and sizes.
This ensures a comfortable and secure fit for all riders.
Carbon Fit Racing Experience
Nolan's internal comfort padding is constructed with active carbon filaments, offering thermoregulatory, antistatic, and dissipative benefits.
EA - Eyewear Adaptive
This system is designed to provide comfort for glasses wearers. It creates a space in the cheek pads for eyeglass temples, making it quick and easy to put on and take off your glasses.
The cheek pads are reversible, so you can return them to their original configuration if you no longer need the space for your glasses.
The cheek pads also have expanded foam inner padding that can be removed from the fabric covering the easy washing.
Microlock² Retention System
The Microlock² Retention System features a double lever design with micrometric adjustment.
It consists of a thermoplastic ergonomic opening lever and an aluminium toothed holding lever. The toothed lever releases the micrometric strip, ensuring that the chin strap can only be opened with a broad rotation of the opening lever.
This system minimises the possibility of unintentional opening.

Excellent quality and good fit

This is my 2nd such helmet and it is an excellent choice for me. It's well made, comfortable and light to wear. The adjustments to suit those who wear glasses and for the liners are well worthwhile. The sizes are a touch on the small side but worth getting right. On the advise of SBS, I bought 2 and kept the best fitting. All in all a great helmet, at the right price, from an excellent shop! What more do you need?

This is my second Nolan helmet and I only replaced the first one because it was 20 years old even though it still looked great and felt as good at the end as it did in the beginning! This new one fits like a glove and the quality makes me feel well protected.

Impressed with the pinlock included and the extra dark visor. It seems good quality and well thought out. The helmet can also be used as open face.
