I'm thinning my collection of 1/43rd scale  LeMans racers. Everyone has heard the story of Ford vs Ferrari for glory at the 24 Hours of LeMans. What most people don't know is that the Ford GT40 started out as a Lola racer. Offered here is a model of the Ford GT40's father, the Lola Mk.6. It was developed by Eric Broadly at Lola, practiced at the 1963 LeMans test weekend driven by David Hobbs and Dickie Attwood, but did not start the race. The design was then shown to Ford Advanced Vehicles in the UK and taken over as the basis for the subsequent GT40. Lola being shoved aside from the project by Ford and AVO's John Wyer. After they failed at development,  the project was then turned over the Shelby American in the US who turned the Ford GT40 into the legend that it became. The model is by Spark Minimax (S4948) and features the quality and detail that the brand is known for. In my collection since new the model is in like-new condition. Original case, base and Spark sleeve are included.   NO RESERVE. Serious bidders only please. Payment due within 7 days of auction close. Immediately if you use the Buy It Now option.
