The Fred Bear 76er Takedown Recurve Bow is a high-quality, traditional-style recurve bow designed for archers of all skill levels. Crafted by the renowned brand Fred Bear, this bow is known for its durability and performance. With a takedown design, it is easy to transport and store when not in use. The recurve shape allows for smooth and accurate shots, making it a popular choice among outdoor sports enthusiasts and archery enthusiasts alike.
The Bear Archery "76er" recurve bow was introduced and first produced for sale in 1976. The bow was originally manufactured by Bear Archery in Grayling, Michigan, USA. This bow was offered by Fred Bear in celebration of the American Centennial.
This bow is an extra heavy weight deluxe 64”, custom 58”, 50# arrow. Notice that the insert ends of the limbs are scuff marked. This is normal. They drop into two groove depressions not made to lubricate. The original Bear Rest wore out and is replaced by a better Hoyt rest. You will need a 58 inch Dacron string to string this bow. It is recommended to use a Bow stringer since this is a 50 pound bow. Also included is an original 1976 Fred Bear catalog. This bow is featured in that catalog.
