Tested and working, this is an excellent example of a flagship EFP camcorder. This unit was manufactured in September 2009. You won't find a VariCam from this era in such great condition; one owner and never rented out.
Despite lacking 4K or high-resolution 1080p CMOS sensors, its stellar dynamic range, film-like CCD colorimetry, and rugged broadcast design make it a great workhorse for documentary B-roll, music videos, slow-motion indie filmmaking, and live multi-cam events.
The VariCam shoots in 1080i (interlaced) and features true 1080p output, but its true native CCD resolution is 720p. The camera captures and records excellent 1080/60i and 50i, and it supports 1080p using "PsF" (Progressive Segmented Frame) for 24p, 25p, and 30p frame rates.
The flip-out LCD is a little dim but works. Everything else is working fine. Comes with 2 x P2 cards (no reader). It takes V-mount batteries. SDI out, Chrozsiel plate adaptor with 15mm rods. No lens, body only. An excellent example of a classic EFP camcorder from the mid-2000's
