Our modules are UK stock and our supplier also supply to the major UK chains like Argos, Very and GAME. They are 100% original Sony Dualsense modules. 


Once they arrive remove your old modules and plug these new ones in. No calibration, nothing is needed.
Everything is done already. It's that easy!

**PLEASE NOTE**
-In some rare circumstances you might need to carry out a recalibration on the sticks yourself. This could also occur later when the sticks wear. Please make sure you have access to a PC or Mac. If calibration is needed you can contact us and we can guide you through.

-The sticks will have a small 0 - 0.01 drift. This isn't picked up in regular gaming but in FPS games where you can adjust the deadzone to 0. We don't recommend putting the deadzone to 0 regardless. Instead put it to 1 for better gameplay and you will have no issues.

-Stick drift could still occur on these sticks however chances are much smaller. However if drift does occur, you can easily calibrate them back to near 0 again in minutes via the website. 
That's the additional benefit of TMR/HALL effect sticks!

Below is a rundown of the sticks currently used in the industry and what improvements the TMR sticks provide:
ALPS joysticks - These are the standard joysticks and you will find these in any regular PS5 Dualsense controller. This technology has been around since it's PS1 days.
Hall effect joysticks - Must be installed by a technician. It involves desoldering the ALPS joysticks and solder the Hall effect joysticks on and carefully calibrating them afterwards. This technology have risen in popularity since 2020 amongst the modding community.
TMR joysticks - We install these. Similar to the Hall effect but uses more advanced technology. Read below for further information. This new technology has only started to gain popularity since late 2023.
Here's a comparison of the Hall effect and TMR joysticks:
Both Hall Effect thumbsticks and TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance) electromagnetic thumbsticks are advanced technologies for thumbstick design. These technologies aim to improve durability, accuracy, and most important reduce issues like stick drift to near zero in gaming controllers. But let's compare them based on various factors:
1. Technology
  • Hall Effect Thumbsticks: These thumbsticks use Hall effect sensors, which measure magnetic fields to detect the position of the stick. As the thumbstick moves, magnets attached to the stick's shaft change the magnetic field, and the sensor detects these changes to translate them into movement on-screen.
  • TMR Electromagnetic Thumbsticks: Tunneling Magnetoresistance (TMR) is another electromagnetic effect but operates differently. TMR thumbsticks use materials that change their resistance based on the orientation of a magnetic field. This change in resistance is used to determine the thumbstick's position with high precision.
2. Durability
  • Hall Effect: Since there are no physical contact parts (traditional potentiometers wear out over time due to friction), Hall Effect thumbsticks are extremely durable. This makes them highly resistant to wear and drift, giving them a longer lifespan compared to traditional thumbsticks.
  • TMR: Like Hall Effect, TMR sensors are also contactless. This means that TMR thumbsticks should offer similar longevity and resistance to wear and drift. However, TMR technology might offer better resistance to temperature variations and environmental factors, making them slightly more robust in extreme conditions.
3. Accuracy and Precision
  • Hall Effect: Hall Effect sensors are known for high accuracy and consistent performance over time. They are widely used in industrial applications for their precision.
  • TMR: TMR sensors are often seen as more sensitive and precise than Hall Effect sensors. TMR offers greater signal strength and can detect smaller changes in magnetic fields, potentially giving TMR-based thumbsticks an edge in sensitivity and fine movement control.
4. Magnetic Sensitivity
  • Hall Effect: Hall Effect sensors are responsive to magnetic field changes but may have a slight lag in extreme precision compared to TMR due to the broader way in which they measure magnetic flux density.
  • TMR: TMR sensors are more sensitive to small magnetic field changes, allowing for better resolution and accuracy in the stick’s position. This could result in finer control for gamers who require pinpoint precision.
5. Power Consumption
  • Hall Effect: Hall Effect sensors are known to be efficient, but since they continuously measure magnetic fields, they may use more power compared to passive solutions.
  • TMR: TMR sensors typically consume less power than Hall Effect sensors because of their efficiency in detecting magnetic field changes. This may give them an advantage in battery-operated devices like wireless controllers.
Conclusion
  • Hall Effect thumbsticks are already a proven and widely accepted solution in the gaming market. They offer great durability and high accuracy, making them a solid choice for most gamers.
  • TMR thumbsticks offer superior precision and better energy efficiency and robustness, though they are less common and come at a higher price. TMR is promising for the future of high-end gaming controllers where ultimate precision and control are prioritized.
We at TY Gaming Modz have tested both technologies, whilst they are both great, we prefer the TMR joysticks for it's precision, lower power consumption and future technology. We only offer our customers the best value and quality and hence we only offer TMR joysticks (for now at least!). It's an excellent investment if you want to maximise the lifespan of your controller.

WARRANTY / REPAIRS

We are confident that they last you for years but in the event you have any issues, we offer a free 1 year warranty* on our modules. This only applies to TMR stick modules we supplied ourselves. Send in your own modules have the standard 6 months warranty. *Important: please keep purchase order history as this will be required to validate your claim. 
If you have any issues, please contact us via ebay or website and we will do our best to help. In some instances you might have to recalibrate the joysticks (this is not a defect) and you can do this easily on a website. All you need is access to a PC/Mac and a cable to connect your controller Instructions will be given via message/email. 
Postage to us for repair will be at the expense of the buyer. Due to the constraints on these modules, we might not have stock to repair or fix at the time, we will require a longer turn around. If there is no repair in the longer term available, we might opt to refund you.

RETURNS

We only offer a refund if product is deemed faulty within 14 days. If the sticks need to be calibrated to fix, this is NOT deemed to be faulty and can be fixed with software. Buyers remorse and change of mind; those returns will still be accepted but will incur a £10 fee PER MODULE. This is a restocking fee and technicians spend a lot of time on these modules to give you the best quality and our orders are made on orders. Thank you for understanding.
