This is a striking 10-piece porcelain tea set featuring a dramatic "Dragon in the Clouds" design. The set is highlighted by Moriage (raised relief) detailing and a rare Lithophane surprise in the bottom of each cup.

Detailed Description

• Item Type: Hand-painted porcelain tea cups and saucers (5 sets).

• Design: Intricate white and grey raised-relief (Moriage) dragons winding around the body of the cups and saucers. The background features a smoky black and grey "dragon in the clouds" motif with blue and gold accents.

• Special Feature: Geisha Lithophane. When held to the light, a detailed image of a Geisha's face is visible in the bottom of each tea cup.

• Brand/Markings: Stamped on the bottom of the saucers with a gold crown and banner mark: "Kutani China - Made in Japan."

• Condition: Very good vintage condition. The Moriage is well-preserved. Gold gilt on the handles and rims shows minimal wear consistent with age. No visible chips or cracks.
