The True History of The State Prisoner commonly called The Iron Mask extracted from the documents in the French Archives by The Hon George Agar Ellis , Second Edition published in London and printed for or by John Murray 1827.
Half leather and marble paper binding over boards, front board detached and raised bands to the spine with simple gilt decoration to the bands, label missing and 1 panel missing to the top. Light foxing to the end papers and the paste downs, also to the title page - please see photos.
Title page + 2pp preface + viii + 352pp , foxing to rear few pages, fore edge of book with blued but not bleeding on to the pages. Clean pages otherwise.
