My Memoirs by Henri Stephan De Blowitz , fifth impression published in London and printed for or by Edward Arnold 1904. 

A Half leather and cloth binding over boards in a lovely early 20th century design to the panels and raised bands to the spine with gilt lettering ot the title etc. Binding in very good condition, Armorial bookplate to the front pastedown dated October 1907 (possibly a Prize bookplate?) Marble end papers and paste downs with the same design to the page edges, half title + Frontispiece portrait + tissue guard with fold + title page + vi + 1pp contents + 358pp + 1 plate " A souvenir of the Berlin Congress" with narrated tissue guard. Some light foxing to the prelims . otherwise clean and in good order. 


Henri Georges Stephane Adolphe Opper de Blowitz (28 December 1825 – 18 January 1903), previously Heinrich Opper and also known as Heinrich Opper von Blowitz, was a Bohemian journalist.
Blowitz began life as Heinrich Georg Stephan Adolf Opper, called Jindřich in the Czech spelling, in a family of Jewish ancestry at Blowitz (now Blovice) in Bohemia, and left home at the age of fifteen to travel, acquiring a wide range of languages in the process.
