This specimen appears to be a genuine Moroccan ammonite fossil that has been cut and polished to reveal the internal chamber structure. Based on the fossil morphology and shell structure, it is likely Jurassic in age and approximately 150 million years old.

The included label identifies the fossil as “Schloenbachia,” though this attribution may be commercially generalized or inaccurate. After closer examination, the fossil appears more consistent with a smooth Jurassic ammonite or phylloceratid-type ammonite rather than a classic Cretaceous Schloenbachia specimen.
