Mid-Georgian Scottish Caster, Edinburgh, 1753

A good example of Scottish hollowware, this large caster has decorative piercing including flowers and swirls. It was made in Edinburgh in 1753, there doesn't appear to be a maker's mark. Hallmarked to base. It measures 18.5cm high and weighs 245 grams.
