Cuneo was an English painter best known for his portrayals of British railway. During WWII he worked for the War Artists Committee, illustrating factory scenes and wartime events, and was later named the official artist for the 1953 Coronation. He is remembered for hiding a small mouse in each painting and even a statue of him (formerly at Waterloo Station, but since relocated to Brompton Barracks, Chatham) includes one at his feet.
