Complete 2-volume Kyosai Gadan set published by the Kyosai Memorial Museum in 1982. Limited edition of only 500 copies. An important reference on the celebrated Japanese artist Kawanabe Kyosai, featuring his artistic theories, biography, painting techniques, and comparisons of traditional schools. Volume I includes all 99 art cards, while Volume II includes all 66 art cards plus two reference booklets. A highly collectible and scarce edition for collectors of Japanese art, ukiyo-e, and illustrated art books. 

The slipcases show noticeable wear, stains, scratches, and age-related discoloration. Volume II slipcase has old tape repair marks. The art cards and booklets have minor wear, light stains, and foxing but remain complete and in generally good condition.
