This item was working when it was removed from a mid-century home

The 4 strand wire that went outside to the anemometer was cut. It can easily be spliced back together. You can see it in the photographs that gray four strand flat wire was cut in one place. Both ends of that gray wire are still intact as they were.

Also the temperature probe was cut off (it was on the outside of the home). The wire is still connected to the back of the thermometer but you will need a new temperature probe for mounting outside the home.

I have not tested this unit. It’s over 60 years old and may need some adjustments once you get it installed and hooked up.

It was working fine when it was removed from the home. I have not hooked it up or tested it. It was an estate find and original owner removed it and advised me that it was all working fine when it was removed some years ago.

Otherwise, this seems to be a complete working unit minus the external temperature probe.

The battery compartment is in good shape no corrosion

The anemometer is mounted on some pipe fittings with the wire inside

The fittings on the wind gauge all spin freely

The wood panel itself has some spots of what appears to be brown shellac or stain or something like that and you can see it in the photographs. It looks like it might’ve been splattered on it or spilled nearby and some spots got on it, but be aware those are there. There’s some dirt and grime underneath those acrylic panels over the meters so it could stand a good disassembly and cleaning because I do not want to damage any of the instrumentation all I’ve done is wipe this off with a damp cloth.

There’s also some very faint very light white paint specs on the wood panel. Looks as if maybe the wall was painted white around this panel at one time and some light flex got on it. You can see them on the wood if you look close.

All the gauges seem to be in working condition.

Other than maybe some aesthetic issues like those small tiny paint spots or those brown shellac spots on the wood and some of the brown shellac spots are also on those acrylic lenses, but they do not affect the functionality of this item and they could probably be removed with the right cleaning materials or maybe a razor blade scraper or something like that, but I’m gonna leave that up to the buyer because I do not want to damage anything or the instrumentation

It’s at least 3 inches thick

This is a heavy item it’s roughly 9 pounds and it’s a weird item to ship so it will take a large box to ship this very carefully so it will arrive undamaged

That being said whatever the actual shipping cost is to me is what you will be charged so whatever shipping charge you pay if I’m able to ship it for less than that, I will refund you the difference. I do this all the time.
