Description

If you are buying from the USA, and having the item posted to the USA: due to new tariffs imposed by the current US administration there will be Import costs to pay which US Customs require to be paid before we can post the item to you. We can issue you a PayPal invoice for the amount, so please send us your PayPal email address when you pay for the item. Royal Mail will charge us for the Import duty and then pass it on to US Customs on your behalf.

All items, irrespective of where they are made, now 13% + £1.

International buyers, please note: due to the fact that it has become so costly to post items to destinations outside the UK, we have decided to implement the eBay option not to accept returns from International buyers, unless of course we make a mistake. In the 15 years + that we have been trading on eBay we have only ever had two customers who have asked to return an item because they 'changed their mind, or bought the wrong item. We try and keep our prices and postage charges as low as we possibly can, so we cannot afford the losses that we would inevitably incur if we did accept remorse returns. We hope that you understand. Any import or other duties are the responsibility of the buyer. Sorry but we no longer post to Argentina – it is just so expensive.
Please just take a moment to read this item's complete details before buying. Thank you.

Railway: Southern Railway, no. R249.
Description:
This UK Free Post 'Buy it Now' is for a made in Great Britain, Hornby R103 Southern Railway M7, 4-4-0 steam loco number 249. We don't have the original instructions for this loco and if you look at the picture showing the loco in its poly tray, the tray does not look as though it is the correct one. There is an accessory/detailing pack included, but we don't know if it is specific to this loco. The box is rather tired, but it was made over 40 years ago, so taking that into account, the box is pretty good.
The important bit though, the loco itself, is in excellent, complete condition and runs very well. It is powered by a robustly made motor from the X03/X04 family, driving a metal gear via a plastic worm, so not only should it run for years without issue, but it will run much more quietly than even earlier locos with metal worms and drive gears.
All couplings and buffers are present and the
Nothing else that you can see in the pictures is included...
