This secondary air injection pump is designed as a replacement for selected Chevrolet, GMC, Pontiac and Jeep vehicles originally equipped with a matching belt-driven A.I.R. emissions pump.
This is a mechanical belt-driven smog pump. It is not an electric secondary air injection pump.

Installation Notes
Professional installation is recommended.
Disconnect the battery and allow the engine to cool before beginning installation.
Inspect the drive belt, pulley, mounting bracket, air hoses, check valves, diverter valve and air pipes before installing the replacement pump.
A blocked hose, failed check valve, incorrect pulley installation or misaligned belt may cause excessive noise, poor airflow or premature pump failure.
If a pulley is not included, the original compatible pulley must be transferred and installed in the correct direction.
Make sure the pulley is properly aligned with the other engine accessories before starting the engine.
