For this sale I have a mid 19th century tin eating dish. Could have been used for either civilian use , or in a Civil War soldiers mess kit as well. This measures 7 3/4 inches across, and has a good rolled over edge rim and a double - ring flared out side wall. It shows wonderful honest wear from age and use with nice cutlery marks and light wear to the surface. These just didn’t survive much!! Authentic American mid 19th century tin ware from the Civil War era.
