This 7" EP featuring Frank Sinatra's "Birth of the Blues" is a rare gem from 1957, pressed by CBS / Columbia in South Africa. The vinyl record comes in a cardboard sleeve with original cover art, showcasing Sinatra's smooth voice and distinctive style. This mono recording, with a full-range fidelity level, is a highly sought-after collectible for fans of 1950s pop music.
The cover and record do not have any Columbia branding, instead it has CBS. This is possibly because it was made in South Africa.
This record was part of a collection that was owned by my wife’s father and has been in storage for 10+ years. Despite that the original cover and record remain in very good condition- possibly VG+ for both. I put the record on my hifi system today and I would say that it played perfectly.
