For my money, the Paul Smith drawn issues of Uncanny X-Men are some of the most important seen since the John Byrne stuff. The crazy thing is that the run is so short, but in the space of 10 issues so much happens. Massive first appearances, events that shook the X-Men to their core and changed the shape of the title forever. It’s a bold claim but once you get reading this stuff you’ll see what I mean! The stories within these pages have gone on to shape the X-Men right up until now. Peerless stuff!
