Up for purchase is a wonderfully preserved, classic piece of model railroading animation: the vintage Lionel 6-2308 Animated Newsstand, originally manufactured during the popular 1980s Fundimensions division era.

This classic layout accessory brings an immediate burst of life to any O scale or 027 gauge model train city street corner or platform terminal. When hooked up to track or transformer power via the included switch, the internal motor drives dynamic dual-action animation: the news vendor turns back and forth inside the "Lionel News" stall to sell papers, while on the sidewalk, an eager dog chases around a red fire hydrant.

The front of the stand is highly detailed with miniature retro covers of vintage periodicals like Life, Time, and Post.

• Accessory Structure: EXCELLENT COSMETIC GRADE. The tan street layout base and forest-green structure are super clean with no cracks, warped plastic, or damage. The molded grey figures are intact. The graphics on the front display stand are bright, deep, and fully adhered. The terminal screws on the back show zero rust or corrosion. (Note: Item is structurally excellent but is sold untested).

• Original Box: VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION. The cardboard container is strong and square with all structural flaps present. It exhibits only minimal edge softening, light surface scuffs, and minor aging typical of shelf-stored vintage stock. No heavy water damage or structural tears.
