Early 20th century Noritake pedestal vase with hand painted landscape and Maruki mark.
Full Description
An antique Noritake porcelain pedestal vase dating to the early 20th century, shaped as a small jardiniere set on a pedestal base. The vase section is hand painted with a European‑style landscape scene, soft and atmospheric in the manner of a watercolour. The pedestal combines early Art Deco influences with lingering Edwardian elegance, giving the item a transitional charm.
The base carries the Maruki Noritake mark, introduced in 1908, and the style suggests a date around the 1920s. The gilt on the handles, rim and foot shows rubbing from age, which is typical for Noritake items of this period and does not detract from display.
Condition
Rubbing to the gilt on the handles, rim and foot rim. Some wear to the gilt panels on the pedestal. No chips or cracks
