### Description
Antique Jefferson Glass Co. "Block" Pattern Green Opalescent Footed Vase – Highly UV Reactive Uranium Glass
Up for sale is a stunning piece of Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) manufactured by the Jefferson Glass Company, circa 1902–1905. This footed vase features their classic "Block" pattern, styled with a distinct raised geometric grid accented by tiny beaded borders.
The glass transitions beautifully from a clear, vibrant light green at the body to a striking milky blue-white opalescent hue at the fluted, scalloped rim. When exposed to a UV blacklight, this piece glows a brilliant, electric green, confirming its authentic uranium/vaseline glass composition.
Measurements:
Height: ~6.5 inches
Top Rim Diameter: Flared opening (see photos for detailed tape measurements)
Condition:
Excellent vintage/antique condition. The glass retains beautiful clarity, and the opalescence remains exceptionally vibrant. No visible cracks or major chips. There may be minor factory imperfections (such as tiny air bubbles or faint shear/mold marks) typical of pressed glass from the turn of the century.
