Antique Georgian New Hall Porcelain Trio- Basket Weave Moulding Circa 1820
An interesting trio, with the typical New Hall basket weave bone china body. Simple decoration. Please see below for condition.
The saucer. The saucer has a slightly different enamel pattern in similar colours, but with the addition of purple. The saucer has a stress hairline on the edge of the well where the cups sit. It doesn't appear to go right through to the reverse. Please see the close up photo to assess. No other damage.
The tea cup. It has the distinctive New Hall handle. It is in good antique condition, with just some black specks and a larger black 'breakout' spot in the glaze. These would have happened during the firing process.
The coffee cup. it is similar to the tea cup in that it has a (smaller) black spot and a few small scratches in the bottom.
Despite these issues, the set displays well and is offered at a reasonable price.
