Before ordering: Turbocharger failures are often caused by an underlying issue such as restricted oil supply, contaminated oil, crankcase breathing faults, blocked DPF systems, boost leaks or foreign object damage. Fitting Instructions
Important: Warranty is only valid where the turbocharger has been installed in accordance with proper fitting procedure. Turboworks reserves the right to reject a warranty claim where the turbocharger has been starved of oil, lubricated with contaminated oil, or damaged by installation faults or unresolved engine-related issues.
Before Fitting the Turbocharger
  • Ensure the root cause of the previous turbocharger failure has been correctly diagnosed and fully rectified before installation of the replacement unit.
  • Inspect the intake system, intercooler, boost hoses, airbox, manifold and exhaust system. All components must be clean, undamaged and free from oil residue, gasket material, carbon deposits, dirt and foreign objects.
  • The turbo oil feed pipe must be replaced, regardless of its apparent condition.
  • Replace engine oil, oil filter and air filter using the correct specification parts and lubricants.
  • Inspect the oil drain pipe for carbon build-up, restriction, kinks or damage. Replace if there is any doubt.
  • Check the crankcase breather system, including hoses and filters. Clean or renew components as required.
  • Flush the oil supply to the turbo before final installation where applicable.
Installation Procedure
  • Maintain strict cleanliness throughout the fitting process.
  • Do not allow dirt, debris, gasket material, lint or sealant to enter oil or air passages.
  • Do not remove protective blanking plugs until the turbocharger is ready to be installed.
  • Do not use exhaust paste or sealing compounds unless specifically required by the manufacturer.
  • Confirm correct oil supply before running the turbocharger under load.
  • Check for oil leaks, boost leaks, exhaust leaks, unusual noises and signs of restricted oil return after installation.
  • Verify boost pressure using suitable diagnostic equipment where appropriate.
  • Do not subject the vehicle to full load until the lubrication system and turbocharger operation have been checked.
Warranty & Returns
Warranty period: 24 months from date of purchase or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first, unless otherwise stated.

Our warranty is provided to the original purchaser only and covers repair or replacement of the turbocharger where a fault is proven to be the result of defective workmanship or components. It does not cover failures caused by installation error, engine-related faults, lubrication problems, contamination, misuse or external damage.

  • The cause of failure of the previous turbocharger must be identified and rectified before the replacement unit is fitted.
  • Please contact us prior to any return. Unauthorised returns may be refused.
  • Engine oil, oil filter, air filter, gaskets and the turbo oil feed pipe must be replaced as part of the installation procedure where required. Proof of purchase for these items may be requested.
  • Any unit subject to a warranty claim must be returned complete. Any attempt to dismantle, modify or repair the turbocharger will invalidate the warranty.
  • The warranty covers the turbocharger only. It does not cover labour charges, fitting costs, removal costs, fluids, filters, ancillary components, vehicle recovery, loss of use or any indirect loss.
  • Warranty claims may be rejected where the turbocharger has suffered oil starvation, contaminated oil supply, poor filtration, foreign object damage, overspeeding, excessive exhaust heat, crankcase pressure issues or damage arising from poor engine condition.
  • Returns may be refused or subject to reduced refund if the item has been fitted, shows signs of oil contamination, mounting marks or is not returned in original condition with all supplied components.

This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights and does not affect those rights.
