Paul Von Hindenburg signed handwritten letter dated 1899.

Paul Von Hindenburg (1847-1934) commanded the German military during the second half of World War I in his capacity as Chief of the German General Staff. After the war he was President of the German Reich from 1925 until his death. His name will be well known by aero philatelists as the famous zeppelin Hindenburg was named after him.
