The internal label shows what appears to be a signature by Danny Roberts.

There are a few small dents (about the size of a grain of rice) and some signs of wear such as scratches, but there are no cracks or repair marks, and overall it is in very good condition.

The frets have about 80% remaining, and although there is some slight wear, they are still perfectly functional.

The beautiful sunburst top, the flame maple grain, and the luxurious headstock inlay, characteristic of Fern guitars, are all very appealing.

The tone is impressive with its characteristic Fern extended highs and thick midrange, making it suitable for bluegrass, solos, and acoustic ensembles.

In recent years, the availability of F-5L Fern guitars in good condition has decreased, making this a highly recommended instrument for those prioritizing condition.
