SONY WM-102 Walkman Cassette Player — Working with Noted Issues

Operation
• Power was confirmed using a separately prepared battery box.
• Playback was confirmed.
• Audio output was confirmed using separately prepared earphones.
Fast-forward and rewind do not work properly when a cassette tape is inserted.
• Fast-forward and rewind worked without a cassette tape, and only worked intermittently with a tape inserted.
Sound output was confirmed, but the audio is distorted and not clear.

Maintenance
• Basic cleaning and simple maintenance were performed.
• Exterior was lightly cleaned.
• Tape head, erase head, capstan, and pinch roller were cleaned using a cassette head cleaner.

Condition
• Pre-owned vintage item with small scratches from use.
• Overall, it remains relatively clean for its age.
• Please review the photos carefully for details.
