This stunning vintage hand-crafted crystal and brass three‑arm candelabra is a true statement piece, combining substantial weight, brilliant clarity, and elegant mid‑century craftsmanship. Each candle holder features a scalloped, criss crossed designed, cut‑crystal bobeche with the original five faceted hanging icicle prisms (15 total), which cast dazzling reflections when illuminated. The center post is deeply cut with leaf and geometric motifs. The base is adorned with deep-cut vertical ridges. This piece was likely produced between the 1960s–1980s.
Although unmarked, the craftsmanship and crystal-cutting style suggest European. The gracefully arched arms are designed with a refined rope‑twist motif, resembling a twisted icicle, adding texture, movement, and sculptural elegance to the silhouette. This subtle spiral detail enhances the interplay between the warm brass and the shimmering crystal and icicle prisms, giving the candelabra a fluid, luxurious presence.
Note of importance: The candle cups and bobeches are removeable by unscrewing them. This makes for easy cleaning as well as safer shipping. I will remove these and pack them securely for shipping. The prisms will be removed as well for safety. (The candles were used only for photos and the video - not included.)
This candelabra is in exceptional condition. The previous owner took special care to preserve its beauty. The only thing to point out is that apparently someone screwed one of the bobeches too tightly and caused a small chip around the fitter hole but it does not cause any issues with mounting this bobeche. The crystal is clear and crisp. All 15 prisms are intact and in excellent condition. The candle cups are clean and show no evidence of wax residue. The brass is in excellent condition with very minimal wear. Sometimes, screen settings may make the brass appear worn in the photos. Also, the actual color of the brass may appear slightly different in the pictures due to variations in lighting conditions. It is a beautiful, shiny gold and not brassy, as some photos may show.
