Antique Edward VII Hallmarked Sterling Silver Capstan Inkwell Birmingham 1906

A delightful antique hallmarked sterling silver capstan inkwell. It does show

some signs of wear, a few dings on the base rim. A little play to the hinge.

 There is a full hallmark on the base which is rubbed, and a partial hallmark

inside the lid. We can deduce from these that the inkwell was produced in

 Birmingham in 1906, putting it in the reign of Edward VII. The maker's

 initials are almost illegible, but appear to be, 'UZ.' I've not been able to

 determine who this might have been. I think it may have a glass liner but 

this is missing.These antique inkwells are becoming harder to come by.
