Dear Mrs. Stark,
I hope you are well as I am feeling fine. We had a big parade here a week ago Saturday and it was great. All the nurses & convalescent patients turned out. We also had a band here. It was from the 339 Infantry.

We have some pretty good pictures at the Red Cross canteen shows every night and on Sunday it is a vaudeville. It rained all day and believe me this is some damp climate over here. I have had a cold ever since I was in the middle of the ocean and it has not left yet or soon it don’t seem as though it is going to.

Back:

Keep the home fires still burning and we will see you soon. Hoping to hear from you soon.

I remain
Your friend
Pvt. Harlan

Merry Xmas & Happy New Year to all I know and all.
